Cancellation & Returns Policy

At Mike’s Carpets Direct Ltd, we want every customer to be completely satisfied with their purchase. This page explains our order cancellation policy, returns process, and refund procedure in line with UK consumer protection laws.

1. Cancelling Your Order
If you placed your order online via www.mikescarpets.uk and wish to cancel before delivery, please email us at info@mikescarpets.uk as soon as possible. We will confirm whether cancellation is possible. A cancellation fee may apply, and we’ll advise you of any charge before finalising your decision.
2. Returning Your Order
If you’ve received your order and wish to return it under your statutory 14-day cooling-off period, we can arrange a collection.
- A collection fee will apply for non-faulty items, based on the product size and weight.
- If you collected your order from a store please email info@mikescarpets.uk to arrange a return appointment.
We aim to make all returns simple, transparent, and compliant with UK consumer rights.
3. Products Excluded from Cancellation or Return
Please note that the right to cancel does not apply to:
- Flooring or carpets cut to size or made to your individual specifications.
- Products specially ordered on your behalf.

If you cancel after such items have been cut or ordered, we may deduct a fair proportion of the cost to cover resale losses. We will always confirm any deductions before you decide whether to proceed with cancellation.
4. Refunds
Refunds are processed using the same payment method used at the time of purchase. If you paid by debit or credit card, please ensure you have the same card available when arranging your refund.
No refund will be issued until the goods have been received, inspected, and confirmed in acceptable condition.
Refunds may take up to 14 days to process once approved.
We aim to make every refund prompt, fair, and transparent.
5. Faulty or Damaged Goods
If you believe your flooring or carpet is faulty, please notify us within 7 days of discovering the issue.
We may arrange an independent inspection to verify the fault. If the inspection shows that damage occurred due to normal wear and tear, misuse, or negligence, we reserve the right to charge for the cost of inspection. This fee will be processed using the payment card originally used for the purchase.
Both parties agree to be bound by the findings of the independent inspector.
